Mythology and Journalism (A black screen fades in, and then some white text. It is a simple quote, written in obvious white text.)

"[Psychoanalysis] presupposes the consent of the person who is being analyzed and the situation in which there is a superior and a subordinate" - Sigmund Freud

(We then fade in to Nicholas Adams, who is standing in...the reconstructed Parthenon. In Greece. While not quite the idea that we might have had, it apparently makes sense to Adams. Anyway, Nick has a camera, and is taking snap shots of the entire structure. He is not alone, but the only other person with him is Juan Guevesos, sans mask. Both men have jeans, windbreakers, black tennis shoes, and t-shirts with a WWA logo in the upper middle front.)

Juan: Please explain agayne to me why we're here scouting out deefferent places in Greece, instead of in England, enjoying some time to train.

Adams: Simple, Juan. If Deimos really is a demigod, then I have to see what he's familiar with. I still think it's sad that we weren't allowed to climb Mount Olympus.

Juan: Hey, eet's like holy ground to dem. Nobody scales it, nobody walks up it, and even aviones have trouble when they go around dat place.

Adams: Well, at least we got to see the base. Still, doing research is becoming a serious pain in butt. Honestly, even when I was in senior year at Wazzu and got attacked because I was doing an investigation on a local politician, it was less of an effort than gathering info on this guy.

(Adams takes another snapshot, and then places the small camera in his left pants pocket. He turns back to Juan and shakes his head.)

Adams: Of course, this is assuming that Deimos is the son of Ares and Aprhodite. Honestly, I'm as curious about Deimos's past as he is. After all, I did put him through a table at the 2002 Birthday Brawl. I want to know how, if he's truly superhuman, I could have done that.

(Nick walks over and looks out from the structure, taking in the scenerery. It's a beautiful landscape, filled with hills and beautiful structures. The day is pleasant, and the sun casts an odd shadow on Adams. It makes him gigantic.)

Adams: Thing is, Deimos seems like a honorable man. I really miss people like that. People based on principle. People that stuck to their guns and kept their ideals. Tracer really isn't like that, and that's really why I'm opposing him.

Juan: Da real problem is dat Deimos is also a beet on edge. Come on, da guy eesn't even sure 'e is who 'e says 'e is. For all we know, 'e could have suffered a huge cranial injury and read too many mythology books.

Adams: Whatever, Juan. He has a lot of Ares's aspects, if he is really Deimos. He's pretty powerful, and very difficult to defeat, but just like Ares, he is suceptible to pain. Ares had many partners during his life. If Deimos is truly three thousand years old, he's probably had his share. Still, what you have to wonder is what Deimos's hallucinations are.

(Nick walks back and looks at the statue that dominates the building floor.)

Adams: He thinks he's a sea captain or something in these hallucinations. And who knows? Maybe he was, earlier in his three-millenia lifetime. But I do know one thing. If Deimos says he's a god, or a demigod, then he is.

Juan: That blind leap of faith is what jou're doing?

Adams: No. It's just that I want a truly stable opponent. I don't want that cloud hanging over him.

Juan: Nick, jou should take every opportunity jou can.

Adams: It wouldn't be right, Juan. It would be something that Tracer would do. And there is no way that I'm going to immitate that sorry, honorless excuse of a wrestler just so I can beat the life out of him.

(Nick sighs, then walks back through the doors. He sits on the top step, and the camera follows him, yet again taking in the scenery.)

Adams: Deimos, your aunt, Eris, has already interfered in my life enough. I don't want her to interfere in our match, too. Let's just do a good match and leave it at that. If you win, good for you. If I win, good for me. But either way, Deimos...

(Adams looks out, and then looks back at the camera.)

Adams: While I not give in to panic, though my research has yet to truly prove you as one of the sons of Aphrodite and Ares...I will be honorable.

(Fade out.)
