News is filtering in to WWA HQ that Mal Somers was hospitalised shortly after the conclusion of the Day of the Dead Pay Per View and remains in a serious but stable condition.After losing not only the WWA World Title as well as his beloved Rookie forever, Somers was on the receiving end of a post match beatdown by new World Champion Ry Ballard. Somers was knocked unconcious after being hit in the head by a hammer, then piledrived onto a burning Rookie.
To add insult to injury, Somers was then stabbed in the face with a shard of metal, the remains of Rookie. Somers is being observed due to the extent of the head injuries received, and whilst he is booked to headline this weeks Meltdown, sources close to Somers believe that he may have wrestled his last match.
