Trepidation ( The camera fades in quickly and we see the inside of a small shop. The walls are decorated with frames containing various autographed pictures and cards of athletes from all different sports. Littered among the frames is an assorted collection of memoriabilia. Baseball caps, bats, glass cased autographed football helmets and other priceless items almost engulf the shop leaving hardly room to maneuver. The hardwood floor is sunken in the center of the room where a line of people have gathered and stand amongst a maze of ropes and pedestals. Each person carries with them a magazine, picture or some other garb they plan to have signed. The camera maneuvers around the crowd to get a better look at the celebrity sitting at the table.

Mac "Truck" Maloy sits in a steel folding chair plucking items from the patrons hands and signs them but not before they hand over a ten dollar bill to a small Japanese man standing just to Truck's right. The Japanese man is wearing a name tag which leads us to believe that it is his facility where the signing session is taking place.

A phone rings and Truck stops his routine and reaches into his vest pocket and pulls out a black cellular.)

Truck: Hello.

( Truck rises from his chair and turns his back to the line of people. The shopkeeper takes one last ten dollar bill from a kid who stands in wait.)

Truck: Location?

( Truck pauses as he waits for the anwer from the other end of the line. He looks over to the shopkeeper and gives a nod. Truck steps away from the chair as the man shopkeeper steps up to the table.)

Shopkeeper: I'm sorry ladies and gentlemen but that's all the time Mr. Maloy has for today. Please feel free to browse around at our other.....

( A waive of disgusted aww's comes from the crowd interrupting the shopkeeper before he has chance to finish. Truck quickly turns around.)

Truck: HEEYYY!!! Can't you people see I'm on the phone....Now shut up.

( Truck puts his ear back to the reciever and listens intently. The conversation is brief and Truck puts the cell back into his vest pocket. Truck reaches to the base of the chair and retrieves a black gym bag and procedes to leave, exiting behind a curtain behind the glass store counter at the back of the room.

The camera quickly cuts to a shot of the employee parking area in back of the memorabilia shop. A black steel door opens up and Truck steps into the alley with his black gym bag. Truck walks into the parking area where his black rig sits with the engine running. The camera follows Truck to the drivers side door where he opens the door and throws his bag into the cab. As Truck reaches a handle to climb into the rig he stops and stares into the cab. He releases his grip on the chrome handle and slowly turns his head to the right. The camera pans back and we see Chris Crenshaw standing to Truck's right with a microphone in hand.)

Truck: What do you want?

Crenshaw: Truck, I was wondering if I could take a small minute of your time and talk to you about your return to the WWA/NWC? Specifically, I was wanting to know why it is that you chose to disqualify yourself from what could have been and extraordinary beginning to your return?

( Truck turns to face Crenshaw and pushes his cowboy hat slightly back so Crenshaw can get the microphone in close.)

Truck: The truth of the matter is, Crenshaw, is it's none of your damn business why I chose to do what I did....But seeing as how I'm probably the only real story this NWC, as it's come to be known, has..I'll flatter you.

You see Crenshaw, the reason Mac "Truck" Maloy chose to not participate in this Rookie Battle Royal is simply because it was an insult to me. If there is one thing Truck Maloy is not, its a Rookie. Those so called wrestlers I was scheduled to face didn't disserve to be in the same ring with me. Those snot nosed punks are the type of people who have to have the event staff hold thier hand and show them where the ring is every night. I've been there. I can smell the blood on the canvass the second I reach the city limits. I am a fighter..a warrior..and no warrior has to be told where the battle field is....So I decided to bow out and let these rookies have somewhat of a chance to leave with a little pride and hide left at the end of the night. But I guess that wasn't good enough for Eric Cameron. He simply just didn't know when to keep his mouth shut so he got a little lesson in first year do's and don'ts....Well maybe a little more don'ts than do's. And just in case you didn't get the message Cameron,....You don't run your mouth while standing in front of the Truck.

( Crenshaw pulls the microphone back.)

Crenshaw: Truck, at the next Meltdown you have been given yet another great opportunity when you face Brad Polaris for the Television Title; another EWA graduate.

( Truck lifts his chin up and faces the sky. He lets out a small laugh and then decends his gaze back on Crenshaw.)

Truck: You know over the past week I had a chance to watch over a little film and go over Brad Polaris' file..

Crenshaw (interrupts): His employee file...but those are classified?

Truck: Let's just say I got clearance.....As I was looking through his file I saw a little note at the bottom of one page. It said "Best EWA Graduate Award"..I can't explain to you the amount of enjoyment I got out of this. I laughed so hard that I nearly broke a rib. You see Brad it's a well known fact in the sport of wrestling that if you want to be the best you got to beat the best and son you ain't never beat me.

I am the greatest Heavyweight Champion to ever walk in the hallowed halls of the EWA and soon it'll be the same here in the NWC. Monday night at Meltdown your gonna step in the ring, with me, one on one and I am gonna show the world exactly who the best EWA graduate is and ever will be. Are you ready for that Polaris? Are you ready to become the first casualty in The Year of Fear?

( Truck pulls the brim of his hat down to hide his eyes once more and turn to face Crenshaw squarely.)

Truck: Now if you'll excuse me, Crenshaw, I got business to attend to.

( Truck turns his back to the camera and climbs into the cab. The door slams shut and the engine turns over with a growl. Crenshaw brings the microphone to his mouth to give an afterthought monolgue but he is halted with a blast from the horn of the rig. A startled Crenshaw ducks his head and looks over his shoulder as the camera fades to black.)
