The former WWA Champion returns for the rebirth, can he cap his return by winning Best of the Best?
(Scotty Carnage peers through the door at the wreckage within. He’s stood outside Dave Harley’s palatial home in Chicago, where earlier this week Craven Moore held a huge party – without Dave’s approval. Harley can be seen on his hands and knees scrubbing the carpet.)
Carnage: Still cleaning up, huh?
Harley: Where the hell have you been?!
Carnage: We have a gym to run, remember? It doesn’t run itself. Must have been one hell of a party.
Harley: Do you know how long it took me to get back here from Oakland? It took two days! Two freakin’ days!
Carnage: Why didn’t you fly?
Harley: Because that bastard put out an APB on me. I couldn’t get within 2 miles of an airport! Look at my home. Two days worth of partying…
Carnage: At least you got to ride back in a limo.
Harley: Which I had to pay for! Moore had hired it in my name!
Carnage: Listen, on a more immediate note, I’ve been booked in a match this Saturday. I know you need me to watch your back with this whole Craven Moore thing, but my hands are gonna be tied.
Harley: What? I need you there, man.
Carnage: I’ll be there. But if he takes me out again and I miss my match, I’m gonna be pissed. I’d make sure you’ve got some security there to cover you, just in case.
Harley: I can’t take security. Did you not here Moore this past week? There’s a spy in my camp and I can’t trust anyone. Hell, I’ve got so many people out to get me that I’ve got to suspect everyone. I need you there.
Carnage: I’ve got a match against Copeland, man. I’m not weaselling out of matches just to watch your back. This guy was on your team at Rage In The Cage XI. You must know a thing or two about him.
Harley: Copeland? He lasted a while in that match. He’s a tough bastard. Winner of the Halloween House of Pain in 2008. You know he retired Eddie?
Carnage: Eddie Van Dorn? Shit.
Harley: And Armaan. You can take him, dude. But I’d rather you didn’t take him on this week. Things are too important at this stage.
Carnage: Dave, Craven Moore is your fight, not mine. After Rage In The Cage, you’ll have retired but I will still be here. You want me to hang around you as a bodyguard? Or do you want me to prove to the WWA that Dave Harley’s protégée is a force to be reckoned with?
Harley: You’re right, bud. Do what you have to do.
(Carnage turns to leave and Harley goes back to his scrubbing.)
Harley: Ew, I’ll never be rid of this smell…
