The former WWA Champion returns for the rebirth, can he cap his return by winning Best of the Best?
Rankings
That is a quote I find incredibly appropriate at my time of writing, for it is one that has many links to the upcoming event, to the celebration of the World Wrestling Alliance’s eighth birthday. For ever since the WWA started, there has always been evil, and with evil comes death.
And now as the WWA faces its eighth year, it could also face its darkest times. At the Birthday Bash, any of the competitors in the match could walk away with any of the championships on the line, or the number one contender ship, there is no ranking system just a chance. A chance to capture dreams and to achieve immortality.
It was only yesterday that my loveable master discovered the reason for a birthday celebration, it was so strange to him before but now the stranger has been revealed to be family. While most see a birthday as an opportunity for a new birth, he sees something different. While most see light, he sees darkness. While most see life, he sees death.
Last years Birthday Bash sent shock waves around the wrestling word, in arguably one of the darkest days in the World Wrestling Alliance history, Damian Thorne won the biggest match of the year, with the assistance of Leviathan. In no ordinary circumstances could that have happened, but these were not ordinary circumstances. And the same could be said for this Birthday Bash, and every other one that may follow. Anything could happen, and it most likely will.
But, perhaps this will not be the joyous occasion it has been over the past years. It is believed by many that the greatest day in the world was when Jesus Christ was born, a day which all Christians still celebrate today, but Jesus also was murdered on the cross. Imagine though, if he had never returned, imagine if Jesus Christ had died on that day and imagine how different the world would be today.
When I look at my master, I see a glint in his eye.
At the Birthday Bash, the WWA will be on the cross.
He is looking out of a window, his eyes glowing as if he was staring at the sun despite him merely looking at the doom and gloom of winter.
The WWA cannot save itself now.
He looks at me and winks, he knows how I have been a closet WWA fan for many years and he is enjoying it. Enjoying the sorrow I feel knowing what my own master intends to do.
No one can save the WWA now.
He turns from me and walks over to his desk, he strokes the bible that sits there despite not being a religious man.
No miracle will help the WWA escape from the clutches of Devils Own.
He looks like a Roman Guard watching over Jesus, watching him slowly die on the cross. It is a look of excitement, as if he was witnessing the end of all evil.
No food, no water, just the endless seconds of time ticking by.
My master suddenly picks up the television championship that is laying on the mahogany coffee table. He stares at it, as if his stare was nailing the championship into the flesh off his greatest enemy.
The final countdown has begun.
He turns back to his desk and sits down on his leather chair. He clicks with his mouse on the inbox shortcut and instantly his e-mail inbox opens. He scrolls down and double clicks on an e-mail from his empire, from the devil himself, Dave Harley.
The orders have been given.
The e-mail contain a list of strategies, outlining key moves and opponents. Graphs and table show the statistics of the biggest threats. Of the WWA’s disciples. Of Craven Moore, Mal Somers and many others.
Now the WWA must DIE!
An evil smirk spreads across the face of my master, one that even fills me with hatred. A smile that declares that the WWA will die on the cross it has made itself, and no one can bring it back. Even the devil has its day, even the depths of hell has its good times.
EVEN SAINTS MUST FEEL THE WRATH OF THE DEVIL.
EVEN ANGLES MUST DIE.
EVEN HEAVEN MUST FACE ITS JUDEGEMENT DAY.
