The former WWA Champion returns for the rebirth, can he cap his return by winning Best of the Best?
Rankings
I’ve been out of the game for too long. Guys like Somers and Bullet have been in the ring while I’ve been out in La-La Land.
At the end of the night I just didn’t have what it takes.
Maybe I never will again.
That’s not what bothers me. Hell, even Harley winning doesn’t bother me most.
What bothers me is the way he did it.
He didn’t beat Somers. He out-legaled him.
That’s not how the WWA World Title should change hands.
It should be won in the ring, or in this particular instance, on the Tron.
It should be won with a wrestling move, not a legal maneuver.
Harley continues to evade me.
But in doing what he did at the Bash, he upped the ante.
Now when I finally pin his simian shoulders to the mat, I could very well walk out with the World Title.
That makes the beating I took in Chicago worth it.
Almost.
The opportunity to get a measure of revenge on Bullet this Monday in Indy will also help square the books.
He wants to swing a chair? I can swing a chair.
He wants to cheat, I can do that too.
I’ve got Mal Somers as my partner. I like our odds.
I like them a lot.
Things are starting to fall into place.
Harley can’t avoid me forever.
My time is coming.
I just hope when it gets here I have what it takes.
