The former WWA Champion returns for the rebirth, can he cap his return by winning Best of the Best?
Greg Segier...
The second generation of WWA.
The first, pure second generation, WWA superstar, to pull on his father's boots and try and write his name into the WWA history book.
John Grant, a former WWA superstar, came into the WWA trying to write his own name from under his father's shadow but Segier is different.
His father is a WWA Hall of Famer, and not some superstar from federations that no-one from within these four turnbuckles knows.
His father defined greatness, with a ten month WWA title reign.
His father casts a shadow, so dark and large that we are all living in his shadow, not just Greg.
A monolith, whose presence alone is enough to overwhelm and inspire awe. He inspires by merely being around and even though he's never spoken a word to most of the current crop of WWA, we all respect him and fear him in equal measure.
We all want to be remembered as he is.
And we all want to command that same respect.
Every time we lace up our boots and step into the ring we are trying emulate Nikodemous, Harley and Bullet.
And yet, unlike Greg, I have not allowed myself to become corrupted by that insatiable desire.
I play by the rules.
I respect the referees and my fellow competitors equally.
And most importantly I never disrespect the WWA fans with my behaviour.
We are meant to set good examples and be paragons for people to look up to; rather than become renegades, doing what we want at no concern for others.
I will cement my legacy and become a name that evokes vivid memories, a name that is truly respected and a name that is just plain remembered.
I am former WWA Champion.
A former WWA United States Champion.
I am "The Once... and Future King".
And Greg is, and forever will be, just "The Other Segier"
