2012 Comes Early

In what has to be a sure sign that the world is coming to an end prior to the date predicted by ancient Mayan calendars, "The One Man Show" Ry Ballard held an impromptu authograph signing outside the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington.

No, he wasn't in the neighborhood to bump heads with Seattle native Nicholas Adams, Ballard tells WWA Insider that he had business with Microsoft that required his personal attention.

Which has been the source of many problems for The One Man Show as of late, as there are those who feel his outside interests are taking his attention away from the squared circle. This is bound to happen in our business, but usually not so soon after a much hyped return to the ring.

While taking in the sights in Seattle, Ballard ended up staying for over five hours, signing authographs and posing for pictures for any fan who asked. This caused a minor disturbance until local police worked with The One Man Show to turn it into a safe event for all involved. Not a man known for his generosity, this could be Ballard's way of making up for the event he missed a couple weeks ago.

It's a small amount of shine added to an image that has been nothing but tarnished as of late. But more positive news is to be had for The One Man Show. While we have failed to learn the identity of the woman who appeared with Ballard on the latest edition of Underground, we can confirm that the child she is carrying is indeed Ballard's. And it appears that many of his unexplained no-shows have been due to the health issues of the mother of his child.

This is somewhat understandable, but Ballard still needs to account for the way he went about handling the situation. Just not showing up without any notice and acting as if you don't care about the company that signs your paycheck is not a good way to handle business.

Either way, it's an interesting twist for a man who has never seemed like the "family" type. We will be sure to keep you updated with any new details as soon as we have them.
