"Chance? my first opponent is somebody who goes by the name... Chance? a risk taker, a gambler. I guess his name suits him! I like the sound of this guy. Maybe I don't have to beat him to a bloody mess to make an impact... maybe I can make an impact by beating on somebody else?... I might not even have to beat somebody down just to make an impact, maybe I can impress the fans and the rest of the boys backstage with my wrestling technique... the true beauty of martial arts!"Lawrence is sitting cross legged. His hands are clenched together. His head is slighlty bowed, resting on his hands. He's wearing one of his kung-fu suits.
"I can see it now... thousands of fans... screaming and chanting for their favourite superstar. As soon as they see me... they will love me... either they love me, or they will fear me! Things are going to change in the WWA. For too long I have sat at home and watched the show... for too long I have gritten my teeth in anger at some of the things that have happened in the past, wishing that I could be apart of it!"
Lawrence looks up. He opens his eyes and smiles somewhat sadistically...
"And now... finally... I AM!"
Lawrence pulls himself up to his feet. He turns his head, as though to face another person. The person is not visible to us, only to Lawrence.
"Good evening master! How are you on this fine day?"
Billy Chang... or the spirit of Lawrence's former trainer, Billy Chang appears to be standing next to Lawrence...
"I see you have been preparing yourself for your first battle young Choi Yen" Chang says bowing his head with a smile on his face."
"I have studied my opponents every move Master... Come Monday... I will be able to read him like a book! There's just one thing that concerns me though..." Exclaims Lawrence with a sigh as he lowers his head...
"Risk taker!?... I know Choi Yen... You are worried that he might take a chance on any move possible... mainly those that even you are afraid of attempting..."
Chang taps Choi Yen on his shoulder, trying to comfort him a little... but Lawrence refuses to believe that he is afraid of attempting high risk menouvers...
"No Master... there is not a single move I am afraid of performing... the only thing I am afraid of... is the fact that the fans may see Chance as a better athlete than I am... you know what they are like, they think all new signings are worthless... they love the old faces!" Explains Lawrence, with another sigh. He begins to stroke the stubble under his chin going in to a deep thought...
"Well Choi Yen... there is one thing you should perhaps do... And I think you know what that is don't you?" Asks Chang, he smirks at Lawrence, who returns it with a smile...
"Destroy the one they call... CHANCE!"
