The former WWA Champion returns for the rebirth, can he cap his return by winning Best of the Best?
Montreal — While its source is unknown, a mysterious letter that arrived at WWA Owner Bruce Pepin's home Thursday has confused and even frightened WWA employees.
In the wee hours of the morning on Thursday, June 23rd, 2011, Bruce Pepin, the owner of the WWA, was awakened by a shuffling sound outside his front door. Inspection proved futile, as the perpetrator had already made himself scarce by the time the "Canadian Juggernaut" arrived on the scene. However, a letter, written in Crayon in sloppy, childlike handwriting, addressed to the WWA Owner himself, was found on the doorstep. The letter, from "The Gold-Bug," was an unreadable cipher, reminiscent of the Zodiac killer's letters from the 1960's and 70's.
Pepin, finally revealing the story this morning, had this to say: "The content of the letter is a bit saddening, no? Why this Gold-Bug could not confess his love for his Canadian Predator in plain English (or even better, French) is an unhappy situation."
The letter, circulating throughout the e-mails (and hands of the more important persons) of WWA employees, has put many of the WWAers on edge. It's content unknown and intent even moreso, the aforementioned Zodiac letters spring to mind almost immediately. The only clue to the letter's meaning was the phrase, scrawled in a nearly-unreadable scribble, "THE ANSWER IS THE NAME AND THE NAME IS THE ANSWER."
The letter reads:
)‡98‡1:‡?95:28.(6¶:;‡9:95—46*5;6‡*)W4608‡;48()‡1:‡?95:);5(8?.‡*;488):92‡0)W6;4¶6(36*8:8)(8);5))?(8†W48*;48†5:‡1(8—K‡*6*3†‡;4—‡98?.‡*?)6W600 )4‡W:‡?185(6*545*†1?0‡1†?);
