Twenty minutes Five minutes ago a vehicle pulled out of the dimly lit parking lot, behind the arena that had hosted the WWA’s flagship show Meltdown, with a squeal of it’s tyres and sped of into the night. An elderly woman in a beat up Ford … one that her lat husband had lovingly maintained until only a few months ago when he finally succumbed to the cancer that had been eating his body … had to swerve to avoid a head on collision and ended up with the front bumper of her beloved car smashed into the wall of the arena itself. Only the burnt in, still smoking, residue of the rubber from the tyres of the speeding vehicle were any sign that it had been there at all …

Shards of glass still littered the ground …

Twelve minutes ago the lighting rig that had been carefully packaged away in it’s flight case for protection was hurled across the room to slam heavily into the wall. Plaster fell to coat the top of the heavy steel box as a tinkling of broken glass could be heard as the box came to s standstill …

Fifteen minutes ago the door way that led into the production team offices was kicked open from the inside, visibly splintering down the middle as a black booted foot powered it’s way through it with a roar of anger …

Sixteen minutes ago one of the production team’s members last thoughts, before he fell into unconsciousness after his head slammed into the concrete floor, was of incredulity as a man slightly smaller than his own six foot plus frame reached across his desk to haul him into the air …

Eighteen minutes ago a scream of anger, a howl of anguish, escaped the throat of the man dressed all in black standing in front of Steve Smith, Production Assistant for WWA Meltdown …

Twenty minutes ago the new signee of the WWA, the man known as Ember, was told that he was to take part in the Embrace the Power tournament.
