My Work Here is Done...

[The following is an excerpt of the afterword  for the upcoming paperback edition of I Meant to do That! Pre-order your copy today to guarantee shipping by Christmas!]

It seems only appropriate that I made my triumphant return to the WWA at the Independence Day Rumble. Prophetic even.

When I arrived, the WWA was suffering under the tyranny of America's oldest and most implacable enemy: Canada. Not only was the company now owned by a Canadian, the roster was also being polluted with Canada. The locker was thick with the smell of maple, and the needless letter "u" in various words.

But the greatest travesty was re-naming the United States Championship the Canadian Championship. And to rub further salt into the wound, it was held by a man of FRENCH decent. And if there is one thing Americans hate more than Canada, it's the French.

I knew I would not be welcomed as a savior. I was well aware of the lingering jealousy that established WWA "stars" like Shaman, Denrol and Eddie Van Dorn had for me. But a true hero doesn't act for praise. He does not fight for the parades he so rightly deserves.

No. A hero fights because it is the right thing to do.

Now, a mere three months later, the taint of Canada no longer stains the World Wrestling Alliance. Showtime has once again put the USA in WWA. Do I expect thanks? No. My reward is the sense of a job well done.

But even though I will never hear the words "thank you" from the WWA, I can still say you're welcome.

And take heart fans, whenever the WWA is in peril, Showtime will be there.

Until that time, it's best that I step aside and let some new stars shine. And with the darkness of my departure, these dim stars can shine all the brighter.

SHOOOOOOOWTIIIIIIIIIME!!!!
