Comeback WWA

World Wrestling Alliance.

What has it come to?

He stands looking at a mirror. The mirror resides in a hotel room, one he is thankful for. One he feels safe in and most importantly, one he can make her safe in. His fall in both the physical and mental states was only repairable because he knew she was there. His one blessing in the world. His one true resemblance of hope. He has kept her hidden from his enemies and allies alike. He kept the wolves from her door. Knowing that if they found out, she could become a weakness. How ironic then is it that his perceived weak link became his source of strength. For her he will be redeemed, not just in her eyes but in all of the WWA.

There is no need to tell him of his responsibility in all of the WWA’s spiral into hell. He saw it first hand and help it come to fruition. He watch the power filter into the hands of a madman. Watch men he hated but respected be slaughtered on the will of this madman. He participated in it, revelled in it. Allies were destroyed when they became too weak. But something turned his mind, the madman would throw him on the heap as well when necessary. But not only that the madman did not respect his bravery, did not respect his loyalty and did not respect all that he had sacrificed for the madman. So he had to make a choice, become another victim, leaving her with a broken father or stand tall like he told her. He needed to regain the honour he had lost, so he could do an important thing. Look into her in the eyes and speak the truth without shame. Without the feeling, that he had become something he hated most, a worthless dog.

Not the loyal general he once was. Not the man who helped men to gain the ultimate glory at two Birthday Bash’s. His body was batted but yet he soldiered on, so the madman could capture his gold. Even but the cowardly way he did. He did not agree with it, but accepted the madman’s choice and fought on. He fought every person in the madman’s way, sacrificing all he had. Just so the madman could retain his gold. It was not his quest, but the loyal soldier obeys. He did that and what did it get him. Pain, disrespect and loss of honour. He may have been the monster at the right hand of the madman, but he fought with honour.

He battled two future world champions, both to a standstill.

But in the end they respected him.

Mal Somers the first he fought, always had his respect and he knew he had Mal’s. They had fought many battles, some against each other and some when Mal stood with the madman. Each only re-enforced the mutual respect. Although they hated each other, they knew the other would fight with honour. Mal would acknowledge that he had helped steel him for the upcoming battles. Even recognised that their battles set him on the path to glory.

Grunge, the self-proclaimed wrestling rock guru. When they started, Grunge held the US title, a belt he would gain at Birthday Bash 2003. But Grunge lacked the last peg on the WWA ladder. He stepped in and took on the rock guru, they fought to standstills. They fought some horrific matches, culminating in a Clockwork House of Fun match. Grunge won their feud but he knew that he had won the mental battle. Because Grunge could only win when he knocked him out with chloroform. Grunge then stepped up to take on the Almighty. Take his gold.

The Almighty was a man he respected, they had formed an alliance. One that put fear into the WWA, one that rivalled the Devil’s Own and the power of the man was that only two of them caused this fear. They had taken away gold together at Birthday Bash 2003 but the Almighty felt he needed to leave. Leaving him alone, until the first master returned.

He too fell victim.

To the madman.

But that is the past.

He wants the future.

He wants to look into her eyes without shame.

He wants redemption.

So the madman must pay.

And he will, because the Statesman has gathered his army. Men that come together from pasts filled with destruction. Either causing it or fighting it. Men that have honour and men who can be respected. An army filled with those that do not turn and hide. Those that are the first to charge over the hill. The madman should now tremble, the Statesmen have him in their sights. He can taste the redemption and can now look at her once more.

The green-eyed monster is back.

This time he has hate for one man.

The madman.
