The former WWA Champion returns for the rebirth, can he cap his return by winning Best of the Best?
Rankings
(Well not exactly as we are once again left with nothing but a blank screen.)
Grunge V/O: People through greatness around a lot. I’ve heard you use the term in describing yourself as well Leviathan. But really what is greatness? Is being a champion the only thing that can be worthy of such a term.
(As we speak many different WWA United States Champions are shown. Damian Thorne, Tracer Bullet, Ian Tense, Kash, Denrol, Buck Floyd, Jackson Kraven, Craven Moore, and even Outlaw and the first champion Johnny Blaze. All fly by quickly till we reach a picture of Grunge holding up the belt. We once again begin to fade.)
Grunge V/O: Are artists great? Do legends like Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, Jimmy Hendrix, or Eric Clapton get the term? What about the painters or the directors? Names like Kubrick or Spielberg leap to mind.
(Shots of people in local bars playing guitars. Somebody on the street is painting selling his paintings. A local student is shooting a film with a camera borrowed from the school.)
Grunge V/O: But does being famous make a person great? I think it’s something more than that. There are the police officers who protect the streets and the fire chiefs who keep a natural forcer under control. They do it not only because of their jobs but because it’s the right thing to do.
(Shots from the benefit for New York with the Paramedics, Fire Fighters, and Police Officers are all being shown.)
Grunge V/O: But sometimes it more minor than that. Chris here sells Toyotas during the day while going to school at night.
(The screen shows a young tall man trying to talk somebody into buying a car and then shifts to him taking notes in a classroom.)
Grunge V/O: And he does this not for extra spending money. Nobody would kill themselves doing this for that. No he does so to feed his family and to hopefully give them a better life later on.
(A scene is shown of Chris coming home to his young wife who holds a baby in her arms.)
Grunge V/O: And then there’s this young man who moved half the country away to be with the woman he loves
(We actually see a young man riding on a airplane. We then switch views to see the plane set down in Seattle.)
Grunge V/O: “Leaving on a Jet plane….” Oh (coughs) sorry. Anyway all these people have something in common…well except maybe some of the WWA United States Champions. What they have in common is simple; they are living for other people.
(The camera pans out of the last plane seen to see all the shots as picture in a photo album. We then pan out further to see that Grunge is the one looking through the album.)
Grunge: See Levi that’s the difference between being famous and being great. You can win all you want, cripple whoever, but you won’t be remembered. You don’t have the makings of a true champion. Greatest plus champion equals legend. Just remember heroes are always remembered but legends never die.
(The camera focuses in on Grunge’s face.)
Grunge: Rock and roll.
(And at that we begin to…)
