Jenson's Motivation Part 2 FADE IN

(We open once again with the visage of WWA reporter Chris Crenshaw. This time the WWA Blue Room is filled with hanging pictures with visages of Liam Jenson through various parts of his career.)

Crenshaw: Welcome back to par three of this retrospective about the career of Liam Jenson. As we’ve seen Jenson’s life took a turn for the worse but not always did Liam have such a hard time in the world of professional wrestling.

(Chris walks over to a portrait of Liam Jenson as a young man wearing a white Kurt Angle type of singlet with green trim and a four-leaf clover on the front. Liam holds a Heavyweight Title Belt high. He’s clean shaven and actually has shot cropped hair.)

Crenshaw: At the beginning of his career “The Irish Assassin” Liam Jenson was known as one of the best independent stars in the United States. When he started with the SWWA he was known as the only star there to win the top belt eight times. In May I was invited to come see a SWWA broadcast to try and figure out what went wrong in his life. And I did find out…

(We fade into a May broadcast of a local SWWA broadcast. In the ring are two superstars in the ring. One is a rather large man in white tights, the SWWA Heavyweight Champion Henry Norton. The other is the rather small, disgruntled man named “Deadly” Brad Portland. Smooth Steve Smith is calling the action.)

Smith: And this is for all the marbles folks. Tonight their feud will end and I for one have my money in the corner Norton. No way is he going to go down to the Deadly one.

(Pretty bad announcing huh? Well it is an independent show. Just as Norton has Smith in his “Ghost-buster” Cradle DDT, a masked man rushes the ring and chop-blocks Norton.)

Smith: What the…Who is this masked man. He’s just taken out Norton and is pounding the daylights out of him! Why is he helping Portland?

(Portland comes to slap the masked man on the back when the invaded turns and levels him with a stiff clothesline. The masked man then sets up both men and hits both with a Double Stunner!)

Smith: Double Ace Crusher and wait he’s coming this way…

(The masked man leaves the ring and then grabs Smith and drives him with Brainbuster right through the announcers table. He grabs a chair from ringside until “Harvester of Sorrow” plays and Jake Cayhill, the SWWA owner, walks down to the ring.)

Crenshaw V/O: But this would only be the start of an interesting evening.

(We then quickly edit to Cayhill in the ring with microphone in hand, nose to nose with the large masked man.)

Cayhill: Alright. What is this all about? I swear Adrian if you’re taking out my main eventers to get back at your suspension…

(The masked man yanks off his mask to see that it’s none other than Liam Jenson. You can hear Liam’s growl over the speakers and the look of shock on Jake’s face says it all.)

Cayhill: (stutters) Liam what is this…what happened?

Liam: I started waking up. And what a rude damn awakening it was.

Cayhill: I don’t know what you mean Liam. Is this about your injury because….

Liam: NO OLD MAN! IT’S YOUR FAULT! YOU HELD ME BACK! I WAS LEFT HERE FOR EIGHT DAMN YEARS!

Cayhill: Liam that’s not true…

(Liam points a figure right in his mentor’s face, right in the face of the man that is practically a Father to him1)

Liam: Damn right it’s true! YOUR OWN DAUGHTER TOLD ME WHAT YOU DID! YOU NEEDED ME TO MAKE MONEY!

(Cayhill looks over to the audience to see his daughter Allison scowling back at him. Cayhill is starting to understand.)

Cayhill: Now Rick you don’t understand. I just wanted to protect you. You were loved here. Besides they did take you with Grunge.

Liam: AS A PACKAGE DEAL! Grunge knew about loyalty. He wouldn’t go without me so the WWA had no choice. You never wanted me to succeed after all I did for you! I trained all these pieces of garbage at your school, not you. You couldn’t train a monkey! You just sat back and collected the paychecks!

(Liam points to the two students of Cayhill in the ring.)

Liam: After ALL I had done for you and your school and this wrestling promotion for all those years only to be shoved aside by the other ass-kissers… I PAID MY DUES DAMMIT!

Cayhill: (softly) You just didn’t have the heart for the WWA Liam…not like Grunge and not like the others

Liam: NO HEART…NO HEART!

(At that Liam kicks his boot right into the gut and lifts him up and drops him down with a jumping Piledriver! He then spits on his mentor and leaves to boos and trash hurled at the man. We then fade back to Chris, hanging his head.)

Crenshaw: Now Liam will face Tommy Starr, Shaman, and David “Sniper” Wattsoner at Labor Day Brawl in a TV Title match. As you can see Liam has no respect for veterans and no problem with violence. But the worst hasn’t been shown yet. No that would be when mentor and student would face off for the last time.
