Does you, ever stop being you? (The scene opens up to a small diner just off the road of little cottonwood canyon. A few regulars sit at a bar looking deep into their bottomless mugs. And a few others sit at tables browsing the menu or chatting with each other. The camera pans round to see Wes Sanders sitting at a table. He is hunched over looking down at a cup of coffee.)

(He looks into the mug and at the liquid, and sees his reflection. The camera pans over the top Wes' shoulder to see his eyes wide with delight.)

"I see, I see, somebody but not me"

(His word come out as a small poem he looks around making sure no one is staring at him. As he smiles into the cup.)

"For you see, you see, you are but my coffee and not me"

(His words quiet and soft, the breath from his voice causes ripples in the mug.)

"I'm back in the WWA and everyone will know, know me, know me by name, know me by actions, know me by fear"

(He picks up the cup and takes a small sip, placing it back down on the table as he looks into the menu.)

"I beat the best, I played with the best, and I still am one of the best"

(Wes twitches his shoulder a little and then continues to look at a menu. An older female waitress comes up to Wes.)

"You ready to order?"

(Wes looks up at the Waitress and holds a stare for a second, he then continues browsing through the menu for a moment then looks back up at the waitress. She stands in a relaxed position her hand, palm down on the table.)

"Sweetie, I ain't got all day, are you ready to order?"

(Wes looks back up at the waitress)

"You think you know me?"

(The Waitress looks at Wes with a strange look, she opens her mouth but Wes interrupts)

"You think you can see me?"

(The waitress walks away mumbling something under her breath Wes goes back to looking at his coffee. He turns to the window to his reflection once again and smiles. He probes his face with his fingers, feeling, as if the face he is feeling is not his own.)

"I am no longer a puppet in the WWA play, I will break the cycle, and I am ready to do this. The breaking of my leg has made me think about this long and hard"

(The camera pans quickly to the door which opens. And the light from the day seeps through on the cold wooden flooring. WWA reporter Wallace Coleman strolls on in. He looks over to Wes and calmly walks across the room. He sits opposite Wes and looks at him.)

"I heard you were walking out of the Doctors today."

(Wes remained silent, Wallace continued.)

"Anyway I thought it would be best if I came out here and greeted you. Seems that you've..."

"I've what?"

(Wes looked up from his mug of coffee into the eyes of Wallace. His brown eyes dug deep into the skin of Wallace. Wallace spoke slow and carefully)

"It seems like you've turned your back on everyone, your fans, who write letters to you day in day out. Your close friends within the company who care about you, everyone."

(Wes looked back down into his cup of coffee and then out the window next to him. A truck is just pulling up outside the building. Wes then spoke with a deep bass in his voice.)

"Do you blame me? Of course you don't, your just a nice guy, what do you know about being in the ring with someone who wants to bring you pain"

(Wes pauses and looks up at Wallace)

"What do you no about me? Nothing, they all planned this on me, they knew if they pushed me too hard I would break, I would snap, they knew that breaking my leg would take me away. But they didn't know one thing"

(Wes grins with delight as he says this.)

"They didn't know I'd grow stronger, faster, and become a better wrestler. They didn't realise I would have time to work on my upper body strength, and left leg strength. They didn't realise I would become more focused, like I was before, before all the crap with Ian Tense, and all the crap with Michael Stryfe"

(Wallace puzzles over Wes' comments)

"So how far back are we talking now Wes? Back to your roots, back to the days of underground fighting"

"Not that far back Wallace, we're talking about the OLD SCHOOL DAYS of WWA. The times when the name of Randy Cross was to be feared. Mantis, Shaman and Troy Walcott were battling it out for the TV Title. And a young Denrol took on one half of the Overlords"

(Wallace thought about it for a second and interrupts Wes' speech)

"But those days were the long gone, that's not you, you were a different person back then!"

"But Wallace, when do you as a person stop becoming you. You can't change that much, you can make promises, you can go on diets. You can change your physical presence, but you can never stop being you. I tried and look what happened to me."

"But..."

"But, nothing Wallace, the time for me to go back to my roots is now, I know I've got the talent, just look at my previous history both times in this federation I have become number 1 contender in a short space of time, I can do it again"

"But.."

(Wes gets out of his seat and leaves the table.)

"Wes where are you going?"

"Back to the WWA, they need me, they need Rage back"

(Wallace looks up at Wes leaving the building and looks back down at the table. He looks at the coffee mug in which Wes has been drinking from. Wallace then has a look like a light bulb has just appeared above his head. He gets up from the door and leaves the building.)

“Wes… Wes! Wait!”

(With this the scene fades to black.)
