Finisher Name Freebear Moonsault
Finisher Description

Top rope moonsault so terrible, it makes the ring shake!

Advanced
Ring Entrance

The load roaring of a bear is heard throughout the arena as the rockabilly strains of Motorcity Daredevils' BEAR IN THE AIR begins to play. Stepping through the walkway is a hirsute monster, big hairy beast in spandex singlet eyeing the audience, pumping up the crowd!

RA: Hailing from Jacksonville Florida, he stands at 6 foot 4 inches and weighs in at 328 pounds... he is know as the flyin\' ursine, the only one of his kind...

Crouching down low over the entrance ramp, both fists touch the ground before the mighty mauler rises up to his full height, a terrifying bellow filling the air!

RA: THE AMERICAN FREEBEAR!!!

Red white and blue fireworks shoot out from both sides of the arena entrance as the Freebear strikes his chest. Monstrous pop from the crowd, the flyin\' ursine making his way to the ring delivering massive high fives to the fans he crosses by. Big thunderous steps from the big mountain of a man, he climbs the rings steps and turns to face the crowd as we get a better look at him: star-spangled singlet, red-white-and-blue tassles, tons and tons (and more tons) of body hair! Stepping through the ropes, he does a forward roll before rising to his full height, proclaiming to the world that he is the only bear that flies!

General Strategy

STRIKING: The American Freebear might not be the best of brawlers, but he always knows how to throw his weight around. He's got short stubby legs, so don't expect much in the way of kicks, just lots of all round power shots at every opportunity.

RUNNING: The American Freebear doesn't typically run unless it's for one of his amazing spots. That said, he has plenty of amazing spots and the Freebear is just so enthusiastic about them. Don't have him do springboard maneuvers (ropes would break) or suicidas, unless it's a top rope suicida on 3 or more targets. The furthest thing away from a cardio machine: is fed on pure joy rather than rational decisions.

SUBMISSIONS: Used as weardowns rather than match enders, they are mostly used in respect to the American Freebear's extensive training in Southern promotions where such techniques were more likely to be appreciated. Obviously favors the bearhug.

GRAPPLING: A naturally strong individual, the American Freebear has a huge strength advantage against most of his opponents and he's not shy over abusing it! Freebear's penchant for brute force over technique is seen in his basic but effective maneuvers.

Spot 1

The American Freebear's flying dropkick is a spot by itself! When he leaves his feet and smacks them both in an opponent's chest, the fans and the announcers all notice and make a pretty big deal out of it, as they should!

Spot 2

The Ursus Circus would probably be Freebear's most recognizable trademark move. Technically a rolling stretch cradle the idea is that anyone forced to support the 328 pound bruiser as he rolls them around the ring would tire in a hurry!

Also, there's the chesthair factor to consider.

Spot 3

The Shining Freebear is an innovated maneuver often used as a prelude to the Freebear Moonsault. Wanting to imitate a certain Japanese wrestler's strange knee strike, Freebear spent so much attention timing the steps necessary to leap off his opponent's knee that he forgot to deliver a knee strike of his own! The result is now known as the shining sit-down senton of today.

Notes

The cartwheel is something the American Freebear likes to throw out every so often. It has no strategic or practical application whatsoever, more of a taunt or an appeal move.
