Appearance

Deimos, while not as sizeable as his brother, is a colossus of a man. With short, black hair and a clean-shaven face, one might almost consider him respectable if not for the cold insanity emanating from his eyes. His physical form reveals the passionate dedication to strength and conditioning that burns within him.

Ring Attire

In addition to black wrestling boots, Deimos wears black wrestling tights with the alchemical symbol for Mars in red on the right leg.

Personality

Although lucid at times, Deimos is prone to bouts of disassociation and psychotic episodes. If he were not a wrestler by trade, he would certainly have been locked away long ago.

History

"Also Aphrodite bare to Ares the shield-piercer Phobos and Deimos, terrible gods who drive in disorder the close ranks of men in numbing war, with the help of Ares, sacker of towns." -Theogony 933 Along with his brother, Phobos, Deimos claims to be the offsping of the union between Ares, the Greek/Roman God of War and Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty. In childhood, the two brothers learned the stern lessons of their father. Ares accepted nothing less than perfection in the arts of war, rewarding failure with harsh punishment. His sons would be the most powerful warriors known to the gods, he would be sure of it. Day after day, upon the heights of Mount Olympus and in the terrifying depths of the realms of Hades, Phobos and Deimos practiced their skills, growing in power, becoming formidable masters of combat. Aphrodite spent time with them when she could, but her husband, Hephaestus, wanted her to have nothing to do with the offspring of her liaisons with Ares. When she did come to visit, they were pleased to see her. Aphrodite exhibited a soft kindness that they were not accustomed to. A more important female influence in their lives came not from their mother, but from their father's sister, Eris, Goddess of Discord. She spent a great deal of time with them, teaching them the arts of chaos. Deimos learned these lessons exceptionally well, his mind warping to become a reflection of the madness of existence. Eris' pride at Deimos' embrace of the mysteries knew no bounds. With their father's battle skills, and Eris' teachings in chaos, Phobos and Deimos went forth to do battle in the wars of the gods. "And on the shield stood the fleet-footed horses of grim Ares made gold, and deadly Ares the spoil-winner himself. He held a spear in his hands and was urging on the footmen: he was red with blood as if he were slaying living men, and he stood in his chariot. Beside him stood Deimos and Phobos, eager to plunge amidst the fighting men." -Shield of Heracles 191 The brothers proved themselves in numerous terrible, bloody battles at the side of their father and their aunt, Eris. However, it was not until the battle of Troy that they truly came into their own. "The Akhaians pressed hard on the Trojans even unto Troy. Yet these charged forth -- they could not choose but so, for Eris and deadly Enyo in their midst stalked. Beside them raged the ruthless-hearted Keres fiercely: here Phobos and Ares there stirred up the hosts: hard after followed Deimos with slaughter's gore besprent, that in one host might men see, and be strong, in the other fear." -Quintus Smyrnaeus 11.7 After the end of the Trojan War, Phobos and Deimos rode with the Roman Legions that spread across the known world, conquering all in their path to bring glory to Ares. They tell tales of battles in the British Isles, Germanic territories, and other ancient sites with the Roman legions. According to Phobos and Deimos, Ares decreed that they should prove their superiority, and hence the superiority of Ares, by entering into battle with the greatest hand to hand combatants of the mortal world. To this end, he chose the world of professional wrestling to prove the ascendancy of his sons. There was never any choice among the many wrestling federations out there, the WWA was simply the most prestigious and would present the most formidable challenges. Thus, Phobos and Deimos began their quest within the World Wrestling Alliance. None of this can be verified, of course. Deimos' true background is unknown at this time. Deimos claims that his experience in wrestling stretches back into Ancient Greece. Although this cannot be proven, it is known that his professional career began at the lofty heights of the WWA as one-half of the Tag Team Havoc, alongside his brother, Phobos. Havoc was signed in April of 2002, and captured the Tag Team belts at the May Mayhem PPV. One week later, the Horsemen, Shaman and Magician, took the belts away. In a fatal fourway tag match at Independence Day Rumble, three weeks later, Havoc recaptured those symbols of their ascendancy. They held the titles for four months after this, a respectable title reign, before the team of Reborn caught them in a moment of overconfidence. Focusing their terrible wrath upon the reclamation of the Tag Team Titles, Havoc defeated the American Luchadores and the newly-returned Veteranz at Rage In The Cage VI to claim their third title reign. Havoc lost their belts soon after due to interference from the so-called greatest tag team ever in the WWA, the Veteranz. Phobos and Deimos allied themselves with the House of Pain around this time and defeated the Veteranz to claim their self-proclaimed title as the Greatest Tag Team of the WWA. At the historic King of the Hill match at Labor Day Brawl, Havoc reclaimed the Tag Team Championship against three other teams, bringing. Unfortunately, due to circumstances that they refuse to discuss, Phobos and Deimos were forced to relinquish their titles and leave the WWA. Deimos returned to the WWA at the Halloween House of Pain and began a heated feud with Leviathan. That feud culminated at Rage in the Cage 2004, where a shoulder injury caused Deimos to lose his bid for the WWA US Title. At Global Warfare 2008, Phobos and Deimos returned to the ring one more time to compete for the retiring WWA Tag Team Championships. After a grueling triple-threat match against Commandant's Own and the B & G Project, Havoc came out victorious, becoming the WWA's last ever Tag Team Champions.
