FACE TO FACE
Another
new addition to WWA: The Magazine is ‘Face to Face’, an interview
column that works a little differently. Instead of focusing on one
superstar here, we ask two superstars going head to head the same two
questions. About themselves. About each other. About the WWA. See
first-hand what these men think about each other, and how they feel
about their upcoming contest. So without further ado, here is edition
number one:
NICHOLAS ADAMS vs INTREPID – NO
FINISHERS WWA TITLE MATCH
Q1: How are you
feeling about the match?
INTREPID: Just fine son…it’ll be great to
show the WWA just how to get things around here.
ADAMS: Incredible. For once, I get the
chance to beat somebody that actually deserves it.
Q2: Do you have a
particular strategy?
INTREPID: Why should I be letting some puny
magazine writer know what I wanna do? I’m gonna get Nicky to tap, snap
or crack. It doesn’t matter how I get it done. I’m just gonna do it.
ADAMS: Yes. And I’m not going to tell you
what it is. That’s how most of the wrestlers in the late Eighties and
early Nineties lost a lot of their matches.
Q3: What does
winning this match mean to you?
INTREPID: It’ll mean that I have been
effective against the cancer that has so long infected this company. I
will finally bring hope to those who don’t feel the need to carry
around false pretences. What I mean is that it is my goal to win so
that I can bring a new face or mask to the WWA, instead of this tired
old mantra of people like Queen Nicky.
ADAMS: Putting Intrepid in his place. I
don’t even care about the belt – I just care that that sadist will have
to wait a very long time after the match to get anywhere near a shot at
this title.
Q4: What does losing
this match mean to you?
INTREPID: It just means that the bridge is
out. I’ll find another road to the goal. I WILL get to what is mine.
ADAMS: Nothing. I don’t allow for the
possibility.
Q5: What is your
opinion on your opponent?
INTREPID: He’s chickenshit! Before you go off
on your rant about child welfare, the WWA has no problem with having
the minor John Grant step into our environment. We beat on him week
after week and I AM the bad guy for making a promise to Mal Somers.
Give me a break would ya!
ADAMS: Unfit to print, but “scum of the
Earth” comes close.
Q6: Why should you
be the WWA champion?
INTREPID: Because I am the better man. Hands
down. Nick Adams is nothing more than an inspirational speaker for the
ineffectual and the weak.
ADAMS: Do you honestly think that the WWA
champion should be a man like Intrepid? I’ve seen vile things done
before, but if he represents the company, the WWA is going to look
terrible in the eyes of anybody that isn’t a fan – and even some that
are will detest what will become of the WWA.
Q7: Why will you be
the WWA champion?
INTREPID: As a warrior I will look for every
opportunity to secure my ground. I will admit it’s gonna be a rough
road since I’ve got folks like Black who fight like I would, any means
necessary. After all it was Black that opened my eyes to the way I
ought to be. Although, that doesn’t mean I won’t employ the same
tactics on him as I would anyone else. Well, minus the shock treatment
for children thing…he could probably care less on that one.
ADAMS: Because I have a reason other than
self-serving goals in mind. Intrepid fights for himself. I fight
against what’s wrong in order to show people what’s right.
